Acupuncture

  • Rooted in Chinese Medicine, acupuncture stimulates the body's natural healing process through precise needle insertion at specific points. It effectively addresses issues such as menstrual irregularities, pain, digestive disorders, addiction, and various mental and emotional conditions. Patients often experience deep relaxation during and after treatment, with noticeable improvements in the initial sessions.

  • Acupuncture can address a wide range of conditions, and our clinic has seen success in treating both acute and chronic concerns, including but not limited to:

    • Pain & Recovery: Musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, visceral pain, post-surgical pain, and cancer-related discomfort.

    • Mental & Emotional Health: Anxiety, stress, and depression.

    • Women’s Health: PMS, hormonal imbalance, infertility, irregular cycles, fibroids, and cysts.

    • Respiratory & Allergic Conditions: Asthma and seasonal allergies.

    • Digestive & Internal Disorders: Gastrointestinal issues and general internal imbalances.

    • Head, Jaw & Neurological: Headaches and TMJ dysfunction.

    • Whole-Body Support: Pediatric and geriatric care, post-surgical recovery (nausea, weakness), and overall wellness maintenance.

Stecco Fascial Manipulation

  • The Stecco Fascial Manipulation Method is an integral part of my clinical approach.

Developed by Italian physiotherapist Luigi Stecco, it focuses on the fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle, bone, and organ in the body. Through precise, hands-on techniques, I work to identify and release areas of fascial tension and imbalance that can limit movement or cause pain. By restoring proper glide and coordination within this network, I’ve seen patients experience significant improvements in mobility, stability, and overall function. This method allows me to address the true source of dysfunction, helping the body return to its natural state of balance and ease.

  • The Stecco Fascial Manipulation Method can be highly effective in addressing pain, movement limitations, and dysfunction throughout the body. Our clinic has seen success treating a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:

    • Pain & Mobility: Neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, and foot pain (including plantar fasciitis), as well as sciatica and nerve-related pain.

    • Injury & Recovery: Sports injuries, overuse conditions, whiplash, trauma-related pain, and post-surgical recovery.

    • Movement & Performance: Limited range of motion, chronic stiffness, postural imbalances, and scar tissue restrictions.

    • Head, Jaw & Neurological: Tension headaches, migraines, TMJ dysfunction, and nerve entrapment–type symptoms.

    • Pelvic & Abdominal Health: Pelvic floor dysfunction, interstitial cystitis, abdominal pain, and postpartum recovery.

    • Functional & Whole-Body Support: Digestive discomfort, chronic tension, and general mobility or performance maintenance.

Additional Treatment Modalities

Dry Needling

  • Dry needling, unlike acupuncture, follows Western medicine principles, utilizing solid needles to target muscle knots and alleviate tension. It aims to release knots, diminish pain, and enhance flexibility, commonly integrated into comprehensive physical therapy for musculoskeletal improvement.

Cupping

  • Cupping is a traditional therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, promoting blood flow and relieving muscle tension. It is believed to help alleviate pain by increasing circulation, reducing inflammation, and releasing tight muscles.

Kinesio Tape

  • Kinesio taping is a method of applying elastic tape to specific areas of the body to provide support, stability, and pain relief. It is thought to assist in pain management by facilitating better circulation, supporting injured muscles or joints, and promoting proper body mechanics during movement.

Gua Sha

  • Gua is a form of manual therapy like Graston (it actually pre-dates Graston by over 1,000 years) that uses specialized instruments to massage and scrape the skin to alleviate soft tissue restrictions and pain. It is believed to aid in pain relief by breaking down scar tissue, improving blood flow, and promoting the healing of injured muscles and connective tissues.
